Prose is the author's personal expression of what he has seen and heard.The value of reading prose lies in the writer's unique emotional cognition and rich life experience.The high school Chinese course undertakes the task of accumulating Chinese knowledge,practicing verbal ability,practicing aesthetic ability and developing personality characteristics.Therefore,Chinese teaching practice is the only way to achieve the task of Chinese courses.Prose teaching,as an important part of Chinese teaching,plays a very essential role in knowledge acquisition,speech training,thinking cultivation,aesthetic improvement and personality development.But there are some urgent problems existing in the current prose teaching in high school,such as: rigid teaching mode,single teaching content and obsolete teaching knowledge some urgent problems such as obsolete knowledge.Based on the above problems,this study focuses on the theoretical significance and practical value of the life education theory,attempts to explore a new way for prose teaching in high school and bring up some new thoughts for prose appreciation.This study consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates on the origin,purpose and significance,ideas and methods,definition of core concepts and relevant literature review of the study.The second part is life education theory and modern prose teaching.This part mainly discusses the connotation and significance of Xingzhi Tao's life education theory,demonstrates the rationality and necessity of introducing life education theory into modern prose teaching from four aspects,and puts forward the value of modern prose teaching based on life education theory in terms of tool and humanity.The third part is based on the theory of life educathion in the prose teaching design strategy,implementation strategy and Xuwu Dong' case analysis of Lao Wang and the instructional design of Little Dog Baodi.This part according to the prose teaching design request I puts forward six strategies of prose teaching design based on the theory of life education,and puts forward four strategies of implementing life-style prose teaching according to the process of implementing prose teaching.This paper analyzes the teaching case of Lao Wang taught by Xuwu Dong from two aspects of the determination of teaching objectives and the selection of teaching contents,and designs the teaching design of Little Dog Baodi based on the life education theory according to the implementation strtegy.The fourth part puts forward some problems that should be paid attention to in prose teaching based on the theory of life education.It should be noticed that life education theory has its limitation and insufficiency,therefore the following questions must be focuses on when carrying on the prose teaching with the application life education theory: prevention of “pan lifestyle”,a combination of life education theory and traditional prose teaching theory and the cultivation of life prose reading consciousness.
