The students' attention was consider as one of the most important factors affecting the learning effect of primary school students;and it's also a hot topic that frone-line teachers were interested in.Previous research has indicated that the attention level showed close relationship with their academic performance for primary shcool students that was in the middle stage.Therefore,the cultivation of attention level was supposed to be one of the most effective ways for improving their academic performance for middle stage primary school students and has important practical significance to enhances the classroom efficiency.In recent years,as for researches on the cultivation of attention level,foreign researchers mainly focus on attention deficit disorder,while the domestic researchers mostly proposed cultivation strategies based on factors such as teachers,studetns and conditions.With a wide range of research subjects and a strong theoretical cultivation method,however,only a relatively few practical researches are about the cultication methods for students in the middle stage.So,on the basis of previous studies,taking students in the middle stage of a primary school as the subject,this paper aims to conduct pratical verification and exploration on the cultivation method of their attention,focusing on the status quo,influencing factors,cultivation methods and so on.This paper via literature review,questionnaire,interview and classroom observation,has collected and analyzed the data on students' attetion in Chinese class in the middle stage of primary school.Research shows the following characteristics:firstly,the phenomenon of attention distraction is universal and different;secondly,the behavior of attention distraction is mainly manifested as "talking to classmates","staring into space","passing notes" and "doing little gestures";thirdly,the maintenance of attention depends on the teacher's attraction.According to the present characteristics above,under the guidance of educational psychology theory and the existing cultivation research theory,the following methods have been proposed in the Chinese class:(i)ingenious use of small games,(ii)use of information technology,(iii)experiencing sharing teaching and(iv)a case study of poor developed students at the same time.According to the evaluation feedback of students,teachers and parents,the result indicated that the above teaching practice can effectively cultivate students' attention in Chinese class.To sum up,the main contributions of the dissertation is that different teaching methods were applying to cultivate students' attention in a practical way.It verifies the previous research theories and results.Moreover,it provides guidance for further research on the cultivation of attention for middle stage primary school students in Chinese class.
