In the new era of cultural diversity,it is particularly important to understand the cultural characteristics of different nationalities.This is not only the requirements of the new curriculum standards,but also the needs of the development of Chinese culture.In order to understand a nation deeply,we must understand the deep national characteristics hidden behind the superficial culture.The unique national characteristics will be unconsciously incorporated into the literary works by the author.Therefore,national identity is an indispensable part of literature,and it is also a key to understanding literature.Exploring and learning national characteristics plays an important guiding role for high school students to understand and grasp the spirit of the theme of foreign literary works.However,in the present stage of high school Chinese teaching,there is a problem of insufficient emphasis on national characteristics content in foreign literature teaching.Starting from this point,this paper makes a preliminary understanding of the current teaching situation of foreign literary works in senior high schools through interviews,literature collection and arrangement,analyzes the causes of the current teaching situation of foreign literary works,and explores the teaching strategies to integrate national characteristics into teaching.This paper is divided into an introduction and a text.The introduction mainly clarifies the research background and significance,research methods and the research status at home and abroad.The main body consists of three parts.The first part is about the national characteristics and related content of foreign literature teaching.In this part,the importance of national characteristics as a key to interpret foreign literary works is analyzed in detail,and the necessity of incorporating national characteristics content in teaching is analyzed.According to the questionnaire survey and interviews,it briefly summarizes the current situation of not paying enough attention to national characteristics in foreign literature teaching in high schools.At the same time,the reasons for the status quo are explored and analyzed from four aspects,including the selection of teaching materials,teaching concepts,teacher qualities and student learning.The second part is the analysis of the selected foreign literary works in high school textbooks of Chinese.Combining the textbooks edited by the Department and the current textbooks of the People's Education and Soviet Education Editions,this paper summarizes the general situation of foreign literary works selected into the textbooks,and analyzes the national characteristics contained in the literary works of different nationalities in Western Europe,the United States,Japan,India,Russia and Latin America with the help of other foreign literary works.The third part is about how to explore the strategy of national characteristics in foreign literature teaching in high school.First of all,the article combined with examples to elaborate on how teachers guide students to compare the differences of different national literatures,the diversity of the same national literatures,and the comparison of different expressions of the same subject.Secondly,by expanding the reading space,reading the whole book and group reading,teachers and students can deepen their understanding of the national characteristics of foreign literary works.Then,the article proposes to use "activities" as the starting point,by watching film and television works adapted from foreign literatures,and organizing textbook drama performance Diversified teaching methods,to stimulate students' interest in exploring the national characteristics of foreign literature.Finally,Chinese teachers should enrich their knowledge of world geography and history,deepen their understanding of Eastern and Western philosophy and aesthetics,and strengthen their understanding of foreign literary theory Learn to comprehensively improve their comprehensive cultivation.In the conclusion of the article,it is pointed out that insisting on the national cultural standpoint of Chinese literature and its teaching is the starting point and foothold of this paper,and puts forward the shortcomings of this article and the prospect of future research.
