Since our country comprehensively promoted the law based-governance and incorporated legal education into the national education system,moral and rule of law course has become the main channel of legal education and the key to improving legal accomplishment for juvenile.Junior high school students are in the golden age of physical and mental development which exactly occurs during the formation of views about the world,values as well as life.Therefore,it is a brand new challenge for teachers to effectively cultivate the legal consciousness of middle school students,which undoubtedly should also be based on a relatively sound legal knowledge system and the ability of its practical application.The Case Teaching Method,as an effective and widely used method in the teaching practice of various subjects,has been indicated as an important method of legal education by the "Outline of Juvenile Rule of Law Education".Based on a comprehensive understanding of the requirements for legal education in junior high school,this article attempts to study the existing problems faced by the practical application of the Case Teaching Method in legal education,which may offer to be referred by the innovation of a case teaching model in middle school that both regards the characteristics of students and fits the legal education.Generally,this article contains five parts.Chapter 1 mainly discusses the background and significance of my research.The status quo of legal education in junior high school is introduced.To develop ideas and appropriate research methods,the researches on Case Teaching Methods at home and abroad is also studied.Chapter 2 deals with the overview of Case Teaching Method.The concepts of case and Case Teaching Method are clarified.A redefinition of Case Teaching Method for legal education in junior high school is given,and the theoretical basis of it is presented afterwards.The characteristics of the application of Case Teaching Method for legal education in junior high school are studied in Chapter 3.In this part,some basic characteristics are explained,whereafter,the requirements of each link as well as corresponding evaluation principles are also determined.Through interviews and questionnaire surveys of legal education teachers,students in junior high school,the current situation and problems for the application of Case Teaching method in legal education are included in Chapter 4.Accordingly,the causes of existing problems are analyzed and corresponding solutions are proposed lastly in Chapter 5.
