The new curriculum standard requires students to cultivate their creative ability while mastering their knowledge, and it is also an urgent need for our country to cultivate innovative talents. In the process of solving open physics exercises, students need to screen the knowledge and experience in memory, and then integrate the selected information to form a new whole. This process is a process of using creative thinking. To cultivate students' creative thinking ability. In the research process, the author first sorted out relevant knowledge of open physics exercises and creative thinking ability by consulting relevant literature, and summarized the significance of open physics exercises. Then a questionnaire survey was conducted with a junior high school student in a middle school in Chengdu as a sample—to study the relationship between students' open physics problems and their creative thinking skills. The test is conducted in the form of a written test and is divided into two parts: open physics exercises and Williams' creative thinking tendency table,in which the scoring standards for open physics exercises are classified and evaluated using "SOLO"(SOLO means the structure of observable learning results). The theory designs scoring for problem solving, and uses SPSS,an educational and psychological statistical software for data processing. The test results show that the students' ability to solve open physics problems is significantly related to their creative thinking ability. Then combined with the teaching practice,it is proposed that exercise teaching should be based on student feedback, and question-setting should be aimed at removing students' thinking obstacles in the process of solving open exercises, and the use of open exercises to cultivate creative thinking ability of junior high school students Four basic steps:(1)Analysis of the thinking forms needed to solve the problem;(2)Find out the possible thinking obstacles of the students through the feedback of the students;(3)Problem decomposition;(4)Guide the students to think deeply using the problem chain method,Break down thinking barriers. Finally,in the fifth chapter of the article, different types of physical openness problems are used as examples to describe in detail the process in which teachers use physical openness problems to cultivate students' creative thinking ability.
