Chinese extracurricular reading is an important part of Chinese subject,and also an important way to improve students' Chinese literacy.It can not only broaden students' reading breadth and broaden their horizons,but also play an important role in the development of their thinking and the cultivation of their personality.However,in the current practice of Chinese extracurricular reading,reading gradually becomes superficial and formal,resulting in the loss of its due value and authenticity.The proposition and research of in-depth reading is the essential need to return to the position of extracurricular reading education,which has a considerable positive significance for solving the current problem of extracurricular reading in Chinese.Based on the research results of in-depth reading at home and abroad,this paper combines the relevant theoretical knowledge to clarify the connotation,characteristics and value of in-depth reading.In-depth reading is a process in which students deeply understand the text,excavate its internal meaning,deeply experience emotions and conduct individualized and creative reading,aiming at achieving individual knowledge construction and deep thinking development.And the reading of individual self-realization.It has three characteristics: comprehension based on fusion of horizons,deep thinking in dialogue and generation of individual meaning.Deep reading can deepen students' deep understanding,cultivate students' high-level thinking and promote students' growth.By investigating and studying the current problems of Chinese extracurricular reading of junior high school students,further exploring its causes,and then finding out the realization strategies of extracurricular deep reading.The study finds that Chinese extracurricular reading of junior high school students has such problems as external reading motivation,alienation of value,low reading state,low reading ability,limited reading time and space,lack of support,narrow reading field of vision,and limited to in-class.There are two external factors that influence the alienation of reading value in the context of exam-oriented education and the difficulty of reading support provided by home and school.The internal factors include three aspects: teachers' own reading concept errors,inadequate reading literacy and poor guidance ability,and students' bad reading psychology,isolation and closure of reading state and lack of reading metacognitive ability.If we want to realize the Chinese extracurricular deep reading,we should start from three perspectives.Firstly,we should establish a correct outlook on extracurricular reading,realize the transformation from instrumental value of extracurricular reading to educational value,and the transformation from the role of bystanders to the role of participants;secondly,weshould form a positive dialogue and interaction between teachers and students,so as to realize the mutual development of teaching in the reading field;finally,we should cooperate with schools and families in order to realize the help of extracurricular deep reading in Chinese.
