| The number of college graduates in the country is also increasing year by year,making every college student face increasing pressure to make career choices,and in the face of the huge changes in the current Information revolution situation,it is of great practical significance for individuals,organizations and society to explore the career choice of college students.The purpose of this study is to explore and verify the relationship between individual background,basic values and career anchor and career intention.Therefore,on the basis of combing the previous research,this study puts forward three hypotheses about the relationship between college students’ individual background,basic values and career anchor and their career intention,based on the survey data of 731 students in a university,the hypothesis was tested and the results were discussed by statistical analysis.The variables of career intention in this study are career role(expert,manager,Creator)and career field(Enterprise,public sector,academic institution,educational institution,financial institution,freelancing),the analysis results of the relationship between the two variables and individual background,basic values and career anchor can be summarized as follows:(1)the four variables of individual background,middle grade,student cadre,party member and only child are related to career role choice,gender,Student cadre,party member,household registration,living standard and other5 variables in individual background were related to career field.Hypothesis 1 was partially supported(2)the higher-order dimension of self-enhancement and selftranscendence in basic values explains career roles,specifically,the four low-level dimensions of Self-enhancement,such as achievement,power domination,power resources,and face,as well as universalism,benevolence and benevolencedependability in self-transcendence,are related to career roles The two higher order dimensions of openness and conservatism in basic values explain the career field,specifically,two lower-order dimensions of openness to change’s self-directionthought and stimulation,and two lower-order dimensions of conservative tradition and conformity-rules are associated with the career domain,hypothesis 2 has very limited support;(3)the four dimensions of career anchor,such as technical function,integrated management,independence and innovation and entrepreneurship,are related to career role,the four dimensions of career anchor,namely,technical function,independence,safety and stability,and innovation and entrepreneurship,are related to career domain. |
