At present,under the guidance of national education policy,the proportion of part-time teachers is increasing,which has become an important teaching force in the process of higher education development.Although part-time teachers have excellent skills and play a positive role in improving the quality of practical teaching in higher vocational colleges,the transfer of practical skills needs to take teaching ability as the carrier.It is a short of in-depth learning and practicing of teaching,the quality of teaching is low.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out the research on the improvement of teaching ability of part-time teachers.This study first uses the literature research method to sort out the elements of part-time teachers’ teaching ability in higher vocational colleges.Secondly,187part-time teachers in 8 higher vocational colleges in Zhejiang Province were investigated by questionnaire and interview,The present situation of part-time teachers’ teaching ability is studied by synthesizing two questionnaires.Finally,through the in-depth interviews and survey results with part-time teachers,we concludes the problems in the teaching ability,analyzes the attribution and thinks about the upgrade strategies,and draws the following research conclusions:First,the teaching ability of part-time teachers mainly includes four dimensions:teaching design ability,teaching implementation ability,teaching evaluation ability and teaching reflection ability.Second,the level of teaching ability of part-time teachers is a middle level,in which the ability of teaching facilities is relatively good,the ability of teaching reflection is relatively weak.The teaching ability of part-time teachers in teaching age has significant differences.Third,the dilemma of improving the teaching ability mainly comes from personal subjective factors,school cultivate environmental factors and enterprise support strength factors.Based on this,the research comes up with tactics from teachers,schools and enterprises.At the teacher level,we should improve identity,establish promotion belief,strengthen active learning.At the school level,we should standardize the qualification of admission,perfect the screening institution,pay attention to training,optimize the growth,perfect the evaluation system,strengthen the quality control,perfect the incentive,and stabilize the teaching staff.At the enterprise level,actively change attitude and implement responsibility;close cooperation between schools and enterprises to achieve mutual management. |
