Starting in 2013,after six years,the Ministry of Education finally introduced new curriculum standards for all subjects in ordinary high schools.By the autumn of 2020,the Chinese and foreign history outline(II),a unified high school history textbook based on the 2017 edition of the general high school history curriculum standard,had been tried in some provinces and cities.From the feedback of the teachers,we can find that the new teaching material and the new curriculum standard put forward the goal of cultivating the core literacy,which put forward a certain challenge to the teachers.Therefore,in the face of this new challenge,to grasp the current stage of high school history teaching,inseparable from the analysis of teaching materials.In this paper,the compilation of the Chinese and foreign historical outline(II)is taken as the research object and compared with the World history of Mc Graw-Hill edition.First of all,this paper reviews the history education and curriculum standards in the two countries.Then,from the teaching material compilation style and structure of the overall analysis.Secondly,this paper will focus on the “Age of Discovery”content in the two editions of textbooks,as well as the arrangement of the text content and the text assistance system,summarize the characteristics of the two editions of textbooks,and after a comparative analysis,draw a domestic and American version of high school history textbooks wide scope of application,intuitive,a large number of pictures different conclusions.The Chinese and foreign history outline(II),a textbook for senior middle school students after the new curriculum reform in China,is more suitable for the needs of today's society.Finally,through the analysis of the teaching materials,combined with the core literacy,the author puts forward the use strategy of“Chinese and foreign history outline(II)”,and carries on the analysis of the teaching strategy based on “Towards the world as a whole”,aiming at this unit,we should focus on the main idea of the unit,the change of the world from “Scattered” to“Whole”,and the “Whole” in the compilation of textbooks.Therefore,when teachers use the new textbooks in the unified edition,they need to analyze and grasp the teaching materials,make full use of the historical resources provided in the teaching materials,and take into account the direction of historical materials to avoid piling up invalid historical materials,the strictness of the use of textbooks promotes the formation of the quality of “Historical material demonstration”.Teachers should attach importance to the creation of situation to form the concept of time and space,and train the students' ability of historical thinking by means of the series of questions.
