Novels are an important part of the selected essays in junior Chinese state-compiled textbooks,which play a vital role in improving the students' core literacy in Chinese.However,most of the novel selections in the current state-compiled of junior high school Chinese textbooks are not original articles by the author.When selected into the Chinese textbooks,the textbook editors have more or less modified the text.These modifications include deletions,rewrites,excerpts or adding topics,etc.,makes the selected novel of the textbook and the original text to a certain difference,and studying these differences is conducive to the teaching of teachers and the learning of students.With the aid of the rhetoric reception in the theory of Receptive Rhetoric,this article first explains several important concepts related to rhetoric acceptance involved in the thesis,and statistical compilation the situation of the revision of the selected novels in this junior middle school Chinese state-compiled textbook,as well as making clear of the rhetorical relationship among the original author,textbook editor,Chinese teacher and students.Secondly,a detailed analysis of the 15 novels that have been revised,starting from the punctuation,characters,words,sentences,paragraphs,and articles,and exemplifying the specific differences between the selected texts of the novel and the original text,and based on these rhetorical differences,analyzing acceptance of the original text of the novel is whether the information accepts value-added,reduced value,or equivalent or changed value.Then,with the help of quantitative statistic method,writer used questionnaires to investigate the rhetoric acception status of middle school Chinese teachers and secondary school students on the revision of selected essays in the state-compiled textbooks of junior high school Chinese textbooks,in order to see the understanding of Chinese teachers and students on the phenomenon of revisions in text situtation,value perception,etc.Finally,it analyzes the rhetoric acception of the revision of the novel selection of the Chinese state-compiled textbook for junior high school,and puts forward suggestions and countermeasures for the subjects of the three rhetoric acception educational-activity subjects.As far as textbook editors are concerned,they should appropriately choose textbook selections,reasonably modify the content of the selected texts,arrange the revised selections ingeniously,and maintain a rigorous and serious attitude of acceptance.The original text should be maintained for the places that accept impairment and equivalence.For middle school Chinese teachers,they should understand the selection of novels after the editors have revised the textbook,and use them in the classroom according to teaching needs,and apply them to teaching activities such as reading,writing,and oral communication.For middle school students,they should know that the textbooks are not indisputable.They should be viewed critically,have a critical consciousness and a spirit of questioning,and read as much of the original text as possible to expand their reading and broaden their horizons.
