The training needs of teachers are the internal driving force for the professional development of teachers,which is conducive to teachers to establish a sense of independent development,encourage teachers to participate in training activities,and meet the training needs of teachers is the key to improving the quality and effectiveness of training.At present,there is a mismatch between supply and demand in teacher training,and the degree of demand for existing training by teachers is not high,resulting in unsatisfactory training quality,and teachers cannot promote professional development through training.Although the relevant policies have begun to pay attention to the training needs of teachers as early as 2011,whether the existing training meets the needs of teachers,whether there are individual differences in the training needs of teachers,and what factors affect the training needs of teachers need to be explored in depth.This study selects the data of teachers in Shanghai,China from the 2018 TALIS project,and analyzes the current situation of the training needs of middle school teachers: first,the balance between supply and demand of teacher training is analyzed by using the chi-square test;then,the difference in training needs between teachers of different genders,ages and academic qualifications is analyzed by using the chi-square test;finally,a multi-logistic regression model of the influencing factors of teacher training demand is constructed by combining literature and interviews.The statistical results show that: in general,teacher training cannot meet the needs of teachers,and the training needs of teachers of different genders,ages and academic qualifications have not been met;there is no significant gender difference in the training needs of teachers,but there are significant differences in some training needs of teachers of different ages and different academic qualifications;age,academic qualifications,effective professional development,professional development obstacles,work pressure,teaching practice behavior,and teacher self-efficacy have a significant impact on the training needs of teachers.Based on statistical results,in order to improve the quality of teacher training,in order to respond to the training needs of teachers,and to stimulate the enthusiasm and initiative of teachers to participate in training,middle schools should do: first,consider the individual differences of teachers,provide teacher training content that is actually needed;second,reduce the pressure of teachers' work and eliminate obstacles that hinder teachers from participating in training;third,pay attention to teaching practice behavior and enhance teachers' self-efficacy;fourth,create an independent learning atmosphere and guide teachers to self-improvement.
