As one of the three important main subjects in China,language has traditionally occupied a major position in secondary education.As an important content of language teaching materials,ancient poems contain profound philosophy,condensed language,rich emotion and high imagination.With the continuous reform of education and teaching,how to push forward the teaching of ancient poems has become a problem that language teachers need to think about.Contextual teaching is a teaching method that helps students understand and perceive the text by creating concrete and vivid scenes.Applying this method to teaching ancient poems can provide a more effective way to improve students' aesthetic and creative abilities,deepen their perception and comprehension abilities,and improve the effectiveness of classroom teaching.Therefore,this paper aims to investigate the current situation of contextual teaching of ancient poems in junior high school by combing through the selected ancient poems in the unified language textbook of junior high school,using questionnaires,interviews,case studies,and combining with my own internship experience in the second junior high school in Lingbao City,and proposes specific implementation strategies for the junior high school ancient poetry classroom in response to the findings.This paper is divided into four parts.The introductory part reviews the origin of the selected topic,the current situation of domestic and foreign research,and the research method.In the first chapter,the concepts of context,contextual teaching,and contextual teaching of ancient poems are firstly expressed,followed by a table showing the selected stories in the middle school language textbooks,and finally the significance and value of using contextual teaching method in the ancient poetry classroom,and further showing the advantages of contextual teaching method that are different from traditional teaching.Chapter 2,a survey of the current situation of contextual teaching of ancient poems in junior high school.The second junior high school of Lingbao City was chosen as the target of the survey.Through the information obtained from concrete practice,classroom records,teacher interviews and questionnaires,the current problems in the contextual teaching of ancient poems in this middle school were analyzed.In the third chapter,effective optimization strategies are proposed for the problems of contextual teaching of ancient poems in middle school.It also demonstrates the specific use of contextual teaching strategies in different parts of the ancient poetry classroom through the teaching example of "Watching the Ocean".In summary,the author proposes a series of highly targeted teaching strategies based on the current situation of contextual teaching of ancient poems in junior high school,hoping to play a certain reference significance for junior high school language teachers to improve the contextual teaching of ancient poems.
