Study Of The Business Environment Optimization In Yiyang City From The Perspective Of Government Governance

China’s economy has deeply involved in the globalization since the country joined World Trade Organization.With the acceleration of globalization,more challenges are placed before economic bodies to competing for markets,talents and resources.In order to obtain an advantage place in this competition,constructing a favorable business environment is of most importance.Currently,all the local governments in China are working on establishing a favorable business environment to attract investments and talents.Numerous policies have been made to cultivate competitive enterprises so to promote local economic development.This thesis utilized methods including literature search,interview and comparison to analyze the business environment in Yiyang and to find its problems.These problems include the low-quality government services,imperfect law systems,unsecured business resources and inadequate supervision.Further analysis found the reasons for these problems lies in uncleared role of the government,difficulties in communications among government departments and the lack of a robust supervision system.Strategies to improve Yiyang city business environment were then presented respectively,which include precisely positioning the government functions to improve the quality of government services,reinforce the communication among the government department to secure the supplying of business resources,and exploring a robust supervision system to build a healthy market.The method,of classifying indicators of evaluation system into categories of governments’ sectors to simply the building of business environment,is practical for Yiyang city.It is also a valuable approach to other cities’ government to avoid dealing with the fragmentary indicators,in government reforming or policy making.
