Report On Translating The Compilation Of Scientific Research Administration Rules And Regulations From The Perspective Of Skopos Theory

The translation practice report studies the C-E translation of the Compilation of Scientific Research Administration Rules and Regulations of Xi’an Fanyi University and mainly discusses the translation methods of rules and regulations from the perspective of Skopos theory by analyzing the characteristics of the project text and conducting case studies. By using the methods of literature research, case analysis and writing translation log, the author stresses that translators should have a comprehensive understanding of the translation activity which is cross-cultural. During the translation, the author focuses on the implied meaning and concretization of the words, and uses literal and free translation methods, etc. By splitting a sentence and integrates it to ensure that the translation is coherent. The author hopes this paper can provide certain reference for translators in translation of such text.
